MEAN WELL LRS-50-24 Power Supply – 24V 52.8W

The MEAN WELL LRS-50 Power Supply is a compact AC/DC switching power supply for professional 24V electrical and lighting systems. The LRS-50-24 supplies 24V DC, up to 2.2A, with a rated output power of 52.8W.

Its universal 85–264VAC input range works across common mains supplies without a manual voltage selector. In addition, the unit accepts 120–373VDC input, which gives designers more flexibility when integrating it into low-voltage systems.

Adjustable 24V Output

The nominal output is 24V DC. However, installers can adjust it from approximately 21.6V to 28.8V DC using the built-in voltage control.

The LRS-50-24 supports up to 2.2A output current and reaches approximately 88% typical efficiency. Moreover, maximum ripple and noise for the 24V version is 150mVp-p.

This output range suits compatible 24V LED strips, linear lighting assemblies, signage, control equipment and other low-voltage electrical loads.

Only 30 mm High

The enclosure measures just 99 × 82 × 30 mm.

Its perforated metal construction allows heat to escape through natural airflow. Therefore, the power supply operates through free-air convection without a cooling fan.

Because the enclosure remains ventilated rather than sealed, installers should place the unit inside a suitable electrical cabinet, lighting housing or other protected installation space.

Universal Input, No Selector Switch

Unlike some higher-power LRS models, the LRS-50 accepts its full 85–264VAC input range automatically. Consequently, installers do not need to select between 115V and 230V before operation.

The supply also withstands a 300VAC input surge for five seconds.

Built-In Protection

The LRS-50-24 includes protection against overload and over voltage. During an overload condition, the unit uses hiccup-mode protection and automatically resumes operation after the abnormal condition disappears.

Furthermore, the operating temperature range extends from -30°C to +70°C, subject to the specified output derating conditions.

The unit also withstands 5G vibration, while no-load power consumption remains below 0.2W.

For korix installations, the LRS-50-24 fits particularly well in compact 24V LED systems, signage, electrical controls and linear lighting assemblies where installers can mount the power supply inside a protected enclosure.
