Product Description

The MEAN WELL XLG-150 LED Driver is a high-performance AC/DC driver for professional architectural, commercial, and outdoor LED lighting systems. The XLG-150-24-A supplies 24V DC, up to 6.25A, with a rated output power of 150W.

Its wide 100–305VAC input range, active PFC, IP67 metal enclosure, and high electrical efficiency suit demanding lighting installations. In addition, the XLG-150 combines constant-voltage and constant-current operation for controlled power delivery to compatible LED loads.

Adjustable Current up to 6.25A

The A-type includes a built-in potentiometer for output-current adjustment.

Installers can set the current from approximately 3.2A to 6.25A. Meanwhile, the constant-current operating region extends from 16.8V to 24V.

The nominal output remains 24V DC, with a maximum rated power of 150W. Therefore, the driver can support substantial 24V LED loads while giving installers more control over the operating current.

This configuration works particularly well with architectural linear lighting, outdoor luminaires, façade systems, floodlights, and other high-output LED assemblies.

IP67 Metal Construction

The XLG-150 uses a sealed metal housing with an IP67 ingress protection rating.

Its body measures approximately 180 × 63 × 35.5 mm, keeping the driver relatively slim for a 150W unit. Moreover, natural convection handles cooling without a fan or other moving parts.

The sealed construction protects the electronics against dust and water ingress, so the driver fits both indoor and outdoor installations.

High Electrical Performance

The 24V version reaches approximately 93% typical efficiency.

In addition, active Power Factor Correction supports strong electrical performance across different mains conditions. At full load, the specified power factor reaches:

• ≥0.97 at 115VAC
• ≥0.95 at 230VAC
• ≥0.92 at 277VAC

THD remains below 10% under the specified loading conditions.

Furthermore, no-load power consumption stays below 0.5W for the standard configuration.

Surge and Electrical Protection

The XLG-150 includes built-in protection against:

• Short circuit
• Over current
• Over voltage
• Over temperature

Surge protection reaches 6kV line-to-earth and 4kV line-to-line. Consequently, the driver has the electrical protection required for many professional outdoor and infrastructure lighting applications.
