The MEAN WELL XLG-240 LED Driver is a high-power AC/DC driver for professional 24V LED lighting systems. The XLG-240-24-A supplies 24V DC, up to 10A, with a maximum rated output power of 240W.
Its wide 100–305VAC input range, active PFC, IP67 metal enclosure, and fanless construction suit demanding architectural and outdoor lighting installations. In addition, the driver supports both constant-voltage and constant-current operation.
Adjustable Current up to 10A
The A-type includes a built-in potentiometer for adjusting the output current.
Installers can set the current from approximately 5A to 10A. Meanwhile, the constant-current operating region extends from approximately 16.8V to 24V.
Therefore, the driver can support substantial 24V LED loads while giving installers control over the maximum operating current. Its 240W capacity works particularly well with larger linear lighting systems, high-output LED strips, façade lighting assemblies, and other professional 24V installations.
IP67 Metal Housing
A sealed metal enclosure protects the internal electronics. Moreover, the IP67 ingress protection rating suits indoor and outdoor applications where dust and moisture protection matter.
The body measures approximately 219 × 63 × 35.5 mm. Because the XLG-240 uses natural convection, it requires no cooling fan.
This slim chassis format also makes the driver easier to integrate into luminaire housings, façade systems, equipment compartments, and accessible service areas.
Efficient Electrical Performance
The 24V version reaches approximately 93.5% efficiency. In addition, active Power Factor Correction supports efficient operation across professional lighting installations.
The wide input range covers 100–305VAC and 142–431VDC, giving the driver strong compatibility with different mains conditions.
Surge and Electrical Protection
The XLG-240 series includes built-in protection against:
- Short circuit
- Over current
- Over voltage
- Over temperature
Furthermore, standard surge protection reaches 6kV line-to-earth and 4kV line-to-line. A higher 10kV/6kV surge option is also available for selected versions.
The driver carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty and a specified lifetime exceeding 50,000 hours under the stated operating conditions.
